“Christmas Eve, quartered in an old and ruined house without windows and without a floor. 42 degrees below freezing. We build ourselves tables and chairs from scratch and nail down the windows. One of us has organized a christmas tree. I celebrate christmas inside a room measuring 8×10 meters with 35 comrades. We get cigarettes, some wine and most important of all mail from home. Most of the letters have been written in October, but we dont mind.
From somewhere on the outside I can hear some men singing the songs of our homeland..”

Loneliness has followed me my whole life. Everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There’s no escape. I’m God’s lonely man… June 8th. My life has taken another turn again. The days can go on with regularity over and over, one day indistinguishable from the next. A long continuous chain. Then suddenly, there is a change.
